[There has got to be a kitchen here -- there was. She'd been there before. But now she's forgotten where in the hell it was...]

[Eventually, Kara will poke her head in. Oh thank God. Here it is. If she'd been waiting any longer, she might have literally passed out in her tracks. The problem with having her... problem... as it were. The damned metabolism kills. Could kill.]

[Anyone who passes by the kitchen may witness the scene of... a mess. With Kara digging through whatever she can find, looking for a sandwich or bread or ... something. Girl needs her food.]

[You aren't the only one who needs food, Kara. Ezra is just wandering towards the kitchens himself, thinking about grabbing something to eat when, hey. What's that noise? Someone else in the kitchen? What the hell are they doing? Better investigate.

The sight he is met with is... amazing. That is one impressive you've got going there. He stands in the doorway, only able to manage one world:]

[Amazing? Kara has flour on her face and absolutely no food to show for it. This is the opposite of amazing.]

[Her head snaps around, and she tenses, slightly.]

[And Ezra tenses right back at that quick turn. Jumpy by nature, this one.]

Whoa that's a huge mess.

[Bigger than the ones he's made, maybe.]

[salamandher]

[She looks around slowly, before turning back to face him.]

Your powers of observation are astounding, really.

[Ezra frowns and crosses his arms.]

You're the one who asked, flour-face.

You're the one who sauntered in with just 'whoa'. What am I supposed to go on, Blondie?

Well, what else am I supposed to say? There aren't many people who wreck rooms like this.

What are you even trying to do? Are you trying to bake yourself into a cake or something?

[salamandher]

I don't know. "Hi"?

[She shrugs, and wraps her arms around herself.]

I just need something to eat. That's all.

Why would I say 'hi'? I don't even know you.

Anyhow, you're not going to find any good food where you're looking. They don't keep the good stuff with the spices, have you never been in a kitchen before?

[Because that would actually be a good excuse.]

Or "Hey" or "Hello strange lady". Something like that.

[She looks around at the room.]

Not a kitchen like this one.

"Lady"? [Ezra laughs.] More like "Hello strange slob".

[Well, that was fair enough. Ezra'd never seen a kitchen like this either before he was whisked away from his home.]

Ever heard of a pantry?

[It sounds a bit snarky--everything Ezra says does, but it's a genuine question.]

Still a lady. Didn't get the Y chromosome, or anything.

[She looks around, and then gestures to the rest of the room.]

Do you even see one?

[Blank face. Ezra has no clue what you're talking about, Kara. Science isn't really a thing where he's from.]

Well, first thing you gotta do is find a door. Then you look behind the door. You do this until you find the meat store. Got that?

[Zeke to the rescue! Seriously, who better to assist someone dying of hunger than a chef?

The mess is the first thing he spots, because, well, it wasn't there when he left. And it certainly wasn't him that made it for once.

So he looks around, spots Kara, and crosses his arms.]

Y'know, if you needed help, you could'a just asked.

[Her head snaps around, and she tenses, staring at him as if she honestly expects him to leap at her with a cleaver or something.]

... There was no one here.

Oh, well, you've gotta good point there.

[Zeke survey's the mess again.]

Tell me what you're in th'mood for and I'll get that ready if you promise t'clean this up.

[She says it quickly, maybe a little too quickly.]

Alright. Something quick, then.

[And he's off to break the world record of sandwiches made in five minutes.]

[Which is good. Because the girl pretty much shovels them down her throat as fast as he can make them.]

[Now, Zeke likes to see a happy appetite as much as the next person, but the way Kara is just stuffing her face worries him. Just a little bit.]

Oi. Maybe y'should slow down there a bit. Don't want you choking or anything.

[salamandher]

I'm good. Don't worry.

[As she grabs for another sandwich.]

[So Zeke will continue to crank out sandwiches until she stops eating them. Or they run out of food. Whichever comes first.]

[salamandher]

[... It takes a while. He might be running low on sandwich makings, but she does slow down. And then stop.]

[Deep breaths.]

[Zeke just smiles.]

You were eatin' like you haven't in days. I hope that wasn't th'case.
